The Vines Meltdown On Letterman
In a classic showcase of pure meltdown madness, this incredible live performance derails in front of millions. Its never fun to watch a train wreck, but sometimes its hard to look away. After knocking his guitar out of tune, Craig Nicholls decides to abandon all hope for saving the performance and just lose it.
It’s shocking and exciting to see someone so careless and carefree at the same time. For all the perfectionists who promote poise and musicianship, it’s hard to argue with how captivating it can be when things spiral downward. Nicholls’ mental state was never serene, and many of us can relate to how anxiety and mental instability can affect us. His channel was rock and roll, and we’re grateful for his contribution to the garage revival. Hopefully he’ll make music again one day.
Not too many of Letterman’s guest end their song with an upside down chair roll. “Is he Okay Paul?”
